ECA Residence Program:

Complete a student questionnaire for the upcoming school year. (This is after an application to ECA.)

ECA is pleased to continue its residence program for another year. We have been looking forward to beginning a program like this for a long time. After many years of hosting students in teacher's or parent's homes, the school recognized the growing need for a home away from home for students from around Spain and even from other countries where their educational options are limited.

The vision of the residence program has been to provide a home away from home for students desiring an ECA school experience whose families are involved in ministries which are too far away to be accessible on a daily basis. Students live with a small group in a private home with loving house parents. The house parents are missionaries that have been carefully selected for the crucial roll of meeting the special needs of your child. They will work full time at tailoring the environment as they work in partnership with you to nurture the students and prepare them for life. Residence students will be involved in an active social group as many of our day students live near these homes in Camarma.

Bruce and Pat Altemose are our first house parents for the girls residence. They have come with their teenage daughter. They are excited about the opportunity to expand the outreach of ECA.

The program is being developed by an experienced team including a former Residence Director at the largest Christian residence school in Europe and by adult “missionary kids” who have grown up in residence programs and have first hand knowledge of how to make a residence home great. We are confident that the quality, care, and personal attention provided for each student will be top notch.

The program offers a full weekly program as well as a partial week program for those students who live in the Madrid metro areas and would go home on weekends or during the week. The size is limited to just six students and a set of house parents in each home to insure maximum care.

The facilities are first rate with a private bath off each room and a central living area. Meals are provided in the home. There are still openings for the fall 2007 program. Please contact Scot Musser, the Headmaster, or the school for more information about the program.
