We ended the 1st semester with a special Lessons and Carols Christmas Chapel, Christmas Concert and final exams for our high school students. We also said good-bye to two families & Mrs. Steffens as they are away from ECA for a short time. Goodbyes are never easy and it seems like the 1st semester brought more goodbyes than usual. However, we love the welcomes and this semester we welcomed back the King family and Mr. & Mrs. Byerly. Just two days ago, we gave a hearty first-time welcome to Miss Restemayer who has arrived to help teach in the 4th & 5th grade classroom.
We have much to look forward to as we begin this semester. Over the next few weeks several ECA favorites will take place. The high school Winter Banquet is scheduled for February 1st, followed by the NHS induction ceremony and breakfast on February 8th. The annual NHS carnation sale is in progress – students and teachers look forward to receiving these special flowers and messages on Valentine’s Day. Our next Flipped Service takes place on February 14th in which our students will take part in service projects within the community.
Last week a Town Hall meeting took place to let parents know more about the Paving of the Road project taking place this semester. Architects and engineers are drawing up plans in hopes of having this important project completed before school gets out in June. Significant fundraising is in full swing and we are trusting God to bring in an additional 30,000 euros in order to complete this project. Donations to this necessary project can be made in two different ways:
To make a tax-deductible donation, please follow this link https://rceinternational.givingfuel.com/evangelical-christian-academy Pull down the project links and select “Pave the Road” or project #13170 and complete the necessary steps for making your donation on this page.
If you would like to make a donation, but don’t need a tax-deductible receipt you can make a donation via PayPal using these procedures: Log into PayPal; send to “Families/Friends” using email address: [email protected]; send donation indicating that it is for the road project.
May God be honored and glorified in and through ECA this semester!
Blessings,
Sarie Anderson
